Alberto Sordi

Alberto Sordi (1920–2003, Italy) was an Italian actor, film director, and screenwriter. He rose to prominence in the post-World War II Italian cinema, starring in over 140 films, including collaborations with Federico Fellini in *Lo sceicco bianco* (1952) and *I vitelloni* (1953), and became known for his satirical portrayals of middle-class Italian life. Sordi received numerous accolades, including a Career Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1998 and an Honorary Academy Award in 1995 for his contributions to world cinema.
