Alfred Edel (1932–1993, Germany) Alfred Edel was a German actor and academic known for his eccentric performances in New German Cinema. He frequently collaborated with directors such as Alexander Kluge and Werner Schroeter, appearing in films including *Yesterday Girl* (1966) and *Der Tod der Maria Malibran* (1972).
