Anna Karina

Anna Karina (1940–2019, Denmark/France) was a Danish-French actress, singer, and director, best known for her roles in French New Wave films. She rose to prominence as the muse and frequent collaborator of director Jean-Luc Godard, starring in classics such as *À bout de souffle* (1960), *Vivre sa vie* (1962), and *Pierrot le Fou* (1965), which showcased her enigmatic screen presence and contributed to her status as an icon of 1960s European cinema. Later in her career, she directed films like *Vivre ensemble* (1973) and appeared in works by directors including Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Jacques Rivette.
