Annie Cordy

Annie Cordy (1928–2020, Belgium/France) was a Belgian singer, actress, and comedian renowned for her vibrant performances in film, theater, and music. She began her career as a cabaret artist in the 1940s, achieving international fame with hits like “La Ballade de Paris” and starring in over 50 films, including “The Crook” (1963) and “The Brain” (1969), often portraying lively, humorous characters. Her seven-decade career earned her the Legion of Honour and cemented her status as an icon of Francophone entertainment.
