Bourvil
Bourvil (1917–1970, France) was a French actor and singer, best known for his roles in comedic films and his contributions to post-World War II French cinema. He gained fame through performances in movies such as *La Traversée de Paris* (1956) and *Le Corniaud* (1965), often portraying affable, working-class characters with a distinctive rural charm. Bourvil’s versatile career included over 80 films, stage work, and music, earning him widespread acclaim before his death from throat cancer at age 53.
