Brunella Bovo

Brunella Bovo (1932–2017, Italy) was an Italian actress best known for her role as the female lead in Ermanno Olmi’s debut feature film *Il Posto* (1961), which won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival. She began her career in the early 1950s, appearing in films such as *La signora senza camelie* (1953) directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, and continued with supporting roles in Italian cinema through the 1960s before largely retiring from acting. Her performances contributed to the neorealist and post-neorealist traditions of Italian film during that era.
