Carlo Giuffrè

Carlo Giuffrè (1928–2018, Italy) was an Italian actor, comedian, and stage director renowned for his work in theater, film, and television. He began his career in the 1950s with the renowned Eduardo De Filippo theater company and appeared in over 90 films, including notable roles in Pietro Germi’s *Divorzio all’italiana* (1961) and Salvatore Samperi’s *Malizia* (1973), often blending comedy with dramatic depth. Giuffrè’s contributions to Italian neorealism and commedia all’italiana made him a staple of post-war cinema, earning him awards like the David di Donatello for lifetime achievement.
