Charles Dullin

Charles Dullin (1885–1949, France) was a French actor, theater director, and author who made significant contributions to both stage and cinema. He appeared in over 20 films, including notable roles in “The Passion of Joan of Arc” (1928) as Jean le Meunier and “Volpone” (1940) as Corvino. Dullin founded the Théâtre de l’Atelier in 1922, influencing modern French theater while bridging experimental stage techniques with film acting.
