Claire Maurier

Claire Maurier (1929–Present, France) is a French actress who appeared in over 50 films from the late 1940s through the 1980s. She gained prominence in the French cinema of the 1950s and 1960s, notably as the enigmatic girlfriend of the lead character in Jean-Pierre Melville’s influential crime thriller Bob le Flambeur (1956). Maurier also worked in television and theater, contributing to the post-war French film industry with supporting roles in dramas and comedies.
