Claire Trevor

Claire Trevor (1909–2000, United States) was an American actress renowned for her versatile performances in film noir, westerns, and dramas during Hollywood’s Golden Age. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the alcoholic nightclub singer Gaye Dawn in Key Largo (1948), and also received nominations for Dead Reckoning (1947) and The High and the Mighty (1954). Trevor appeared in over 60 films, including classics like Stagecoach (1939) and Born Yesterday (1950), and later transitioned to television and stage work.
