Daniel Olbrychski

Daniel Olbrychski (1945–Present, Poland) is a prominent Polish actor who rose to fame in the 1960s through his collaborations with director Andrzej Wajda, starring in films such as *Kanał* (1957) as a teenager and later in *The Ashes* (1965) and *Everything for Sale* (1968). He achieved international acclaim for his role as Jan Bronski in Volker Schlöndorff’s Academy Award-winning adaptation of *The Tin Drum* (1979), and has since appeared in over 100 films, including Roman Polanski’s *The Pianist* (2002). Olbrychski is regarded as one of the leading figures in Polish cinema, known for his versatile performances in both historical dramas and contemporary roles.
