Denise Vernac

Denise Vernac (1916–2009, France) was a French actress and dancer. She is best known for her collaborations with director Abel Gance, appearing in films such as Un grand amour de Beethoven (1936), J’accuse! (1938), and La Tour de Nesle (1955). Vernac served as Gance’s muse and assistant, contributing to his epic productions and maintaining a close professional partnership until his death.
