Dorothy Malone

Dorothy Malone (1925–2018, United States) was an American actress known for her work in film noir and dramatic roles during the mid-20th century. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of a sultry socialite in Written on the Wind (1956), which marked a breakthrough from her earlier supporting parts in films like The Big Sleep (1946). Malone later achieved television fame as Constance Mackenzie in the soap opera Peyton Place (1964–1968), solidifying her status as a versatile performer across film and TV.
