Francis Lederer

Francis Lederer (1899–2000, Czech Republic/United States) was a Czech-born American stage and film actor who began his career in European theater before emigrating to the United States in 1928. He gained prominence in Hollywood during the 1930s as a leading man in films such as *Confession* (1937), *The Lone Wolf in Paris* (1938), and *Midnight* (1939), often portraying suave continental characters. Later in his career, Lederer transitioned to character roles in films like *The Return of Dracula* (1958) and television appearances, while also becoming involved in real estate and environmental activism.
