Franco Nero

Franco Nero (1942–Present, Italy) is an Italian actor renowned for his breakthrough role as the gunslinger Django in Sergio Corbucci’s 1966 spaghetti western of the same name, which became a cult classic. Over a career spanning more than 200 films and television appearances, he has starred in notable works such as The Mercenary (1968), Compañeros (1970), and international productions including Camelot (1967) and Die Hard 2 (1990), often portraying rugged, charismatic anti-heroes. Nero remains active in cinema and is celebrated for bridging Italian genre films with global audiences.
