Françoise Prévost

Françoise Prévost (1929–1997, France) was a French actress known for her roles in post-war cinema, particularly in crime thrillers and New Wave films. She gained prominence in the 1960s with appearances in Jean-Pierre Melville’s *Le Doulos* (1962) as a key supporting character and in other notable works like *Les Bonnes Femmes* (1960) by Claude Chabrol. Her career spanned over four decades, with credits in more than 80 films until the 1980s, often portraying complex, enigmatic women in French genre cinema.
