Fred MacMurray

Fred MacMurray (1908–1991, United States) was an American actor renowned for his versatile career in film and television spanning over five decades. He gained prominence in the 1930s and 1940s with leading roles in screwball comedies and film noirs, including memorable performances in Double Indemnity (1944) and The Apartment (1960), earning an Academy Award nomination for the latter. Later, he became a television icon as the widowed father in the sitcom My Three Sons (1960–1972), solidifying his image as a wholesome family entertainer.
