Gabriele Ferzetti

Gabriele Ferzetti (1925–2015, Italy) was an Italian actor renowned for his extensive career in film, theater, and television spanning over six decades. He achieved international acclaim for his role as the enigmatic Paolo in Michelangelo Antonioni’s L’Avventura (1960) and as the ailing railroad baron Morton in Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), showcasing his ability to portray complex, introspective characters. Ferzetti appeared in more than 160 films, including notable works like The Pink Panther (1963) and Ash Wednesday (1973), and received the David di Donatello Award for Best Actor in 1960.
