Gino Cervi

Gino Cervi (1901–1974, Italy) was an Italian actor renowned for his work in theater and film. He gained international fame for portraying the communist mayor Peppone in the Don Camillo series opposite Fernandel, appearing in five films between 1951 and 1961. Cervi starred in over 100 films from the 1920s to the 1970s, including notable roles in works by directors like Pietro Germi and Mario Monicelli, and was a key figure in Italian postwar cinema.
