Gordon Scott

Gordon Scott (1926–2007, United States) Gordon Scott was an American actor best known for his portrayal of Tarzan in six films produced by RKO Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1955 to 1960, including *Tarzan’s Hidden Jungle* (1955) and *Tarzan the Magnificent* (1960). Born Gordon Merrill Winton in Portland, Oregon, he transitioned to European cinema in the 1960s, appearing in Italian sword-and-sandal epics like *Hercules and the Treasure of the Incas* (1964) and spaghetti westerns such as *Three Bullets for a Long Gun* (1966). Scott retired from acting in the 1970s and lived in Baltimore, Maryland, until his death in 2007.
