Jane Wyman

Jane Wyman (1917–2007, United States) was an American actress and singer who began her career in radio and films during the 1930s, rising to prominence in the 1940s with roles in movies such as The Lost Weekend (1945) and The Yearling (1946). She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of a deaf-mute woman in Johnny Belinda (1948), earning three additional Oscar nominations throughout her career, and became one of Hollywood’s leading ladies during the Golden Age. Wyman later transitioned to television, starring in the series Falcon Crest (1981–1990), and was the first wife of future U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
