Jean-Pierre Mocky

Jean-Pierre Mocky (1929–Present, France) is a French film director, screenwriter, and actor known for his satirical and anarchic comedies critiquing society and institutions. Beginning his directing career in the 1950s with films like *The Counterfeiters of Paris* (1961), he has helmed over 60 feature films, often blending humor with social commentary. Mocky has also acted in more than 100 productions, including roles in his own works and collaborations with figures like Jean Gabin.
