Jim Davis
Jim Davis (1915–1981, United States) was an American actor best known for portraying the tough oil baron Jock Ewing on the long-running CBS television series Dallas from 1978 until his death in 1981. He appeared in over 400 films and television episodes, often in Westerns such as Gunsmoke, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, and movies including Rio Bravo (1959) and Big Jake (1971), establishing himself as a reliable character actor in the genre during Hollywood’s Golden Age and beyond.
