Joe Flynn

Joe Flynn (1924–1974, United States) was an American actor best known for his role as the irascible Captain Wallace B. Binghamton in the ABC sitcom McHale’s Navy (1962–1966), which also led to feature films in 1964. Flynn began his career in radio and stage before transitioning to television and film in the 1950s, appearing in shows like The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show and films such as The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao (1964). He voiced the villainous Mr. Snoops in Disney’s animated The Rescuers (1977), released posthumously after his death in a drowning accident.
