John Carroll

John Carroll (1906–1979, USA) John Carroll was an American actor and singer who appeared in over 50 films during Hollywood’s Golden Age, often in supporting roles in adventure, Western, and musical genres. Notable credits include “Hit the Ice” (1943) with Abbott and Costello, “Flying Tigers” (1942) with John Wayne, and “Zorro’s Fighting Legion” (1939) as the title character. He was briefly married to actress Lucille Ball from 1933 to 1936 and retired from acting in the 1950s.
