Lee Van Cleef

Lee Van Cleef (1925–1989, United States/Italy) was an American actor renowned for his roles in Western films, particularly as the menacing Angel Eyes in Sergio Leone’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). He began his Hollywood career in the 1950s with supporting parts in films like High Noon (1952) and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953), before achieving international stardom in the 1960s through Spaghetti Westerns such as For a Few Dollars More (1965). His sharp features and commanding presence established him as a staple of the genre, leading to over 170 film and television credits.
