Luigi Vannucchi
Luigi Vannucchi (1930–1978, Italy) was an Italian actor renowned for his contributions to theater, film, and television in post-war Italy. He achieved international recognition for portraying Joseph in Pier Paolo Pasolini’s The Gospel According to St. Matthew (1964) and appeared in over 30 films, including collaborations with directors like Sergio Corbucci and Luigi Zampa, often embodying complex character roles. Vannucchi’s stage work with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano further solidified his legacy as a versatile performer until his death at age 48.
