Marcel Dalio

Marcel Dalio (1899–1983, France) was a French character actor renowned for his distinctive nasal voice and expressive features in over 150 films. He rose to prominence in French cinema during the 1930s with roles in films like *Pépé le Moko* (1937), before fleeing Nazi-occupied France in 1940 and establishing a notable Hollywood career, including his iconic portrayal of the croupier in *Casablanca* (1942). After World War II, he returned to France and continued acting in international productions until his death.
