Mary Young

Mary Young (1880–1973, United States) Mary Young was an American actress who began her career on stage before transitioning to film in the 1920s, appearing in over 50 movies including supporting roles in *The Sin of Madelon Claudet* (1931) and *The Crowd Roars* (1932). She gained later recognition for her television work, particularly as the recurring character Aunt Maggie Sawyer on *The Andy Griffith Show* in the 1960s. Her career spanned silent films to early television, showcasing her versatility in character roles.
