Mirko Ellis

Mirko Ellis (1942–Present, Germany) Mirko Ellis is a German actor best known for his breakout role as 16-year-old Walter Forst in the 1959 anti-war film *Die Brücke* (The Bridge), directed by Bernhard Wicki, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His performance as one of seven teenage soldiers defending a bridge against Allied forces in the final days of World War II helped establish him as a notable figure in post-war German cinema. Ellis has appeared in over 20 films and television series, including *Der Arzt von St. Pauli* (1968) and *Derrick* episodes, often portraying supporting roles in crime dramas and historical pieces.
