Roger Blin
Roger Blin (1907–1984, France) was a French actor, director, and stage designer renowned for his contributions to avant-garde theater. He is best known for premiering Samuel Beckett’s *Waiting for Godot* in 1953, where he played the role of Pozzo, and for directing and starring in Jean Genet’s *The Maids* (1947), helping to establish post-war French existentialist drama. Blin also appeared in films such as *The Overcoat* (1940) and *The Diary of a Chambermaid* (1946), bridging theater and cinema in his career.
