Shirley Jones

Shirley Jones (1934–Present, USA) is an American actress and singer renowned for her roles in classic musical films. She rose to prominence with starring roles in Rodgers and Hammerstein adaptations such as Oklahoma! (1955) and Carousel (1956), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of a prostitute in Elmer Gantry (1960). Jones later achieved television fame as the widowed mother Shirley Partridge in the sitcom The Partridge Family (1970–1974), showcasing her versatility across stage, screen, and music.
