Vera Ralston

Vera Ralston (1920–2006, Czechoslovakia/United States) was a Czech-born actress and former figure skater who emigrated to the United States in the 1930s. She appeared in over 30 films, primarily for Republic Pictures, where she starred in Westerns and dramas opposite actors like John Wayne and Roy Rogers during the 1940s and 1950s. Her career was influenced by her marriage to studio head Herbert Yates, which helped secure her leading roles despite mixed critical reception.
