Werner Herzog
Werner Herzog (1942–Present, Germany) is a German film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. A pivotal figure in New German Cinema, he is celebrated for his documentaries and narrative films that explore themes of human ambition, obsession, and the natural world, with acclaimed works including Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972), Fitzcarraldo (1982), and Grizzly Man (2005). Herzog has also acted in films such as The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (1974, directed by himself) and Incident at Loch Ness (2004).
