Arturo Ruiz-Castillo

Arturo Ruiz-Castillo (1904–1976, Spain) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. Active primarily in the mid-20th century, he directed around a dozen feature films, including adaptations of literary works such as *El amor brujo* (1949) and *Fedra* (1951), contributing to the development of post-Spanish Civil War cinema. His work often blended dramatic narratives with elements of Spanish folklore and theater.
