Carlo Borghesio

Carlo Borghesio (1906–1999, Italy) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and actor. Active primarily in the 1930s and 1940s during the Fascist era, he directed around 20 feature films, including comedies like *Boccaccio* (1940) and dramas such as *La principessa Tarakanova* (1936). His work contributed to the development of Italian cinema under the regime’s Cinecittà studios, though he remains lesser-known compared to contemporaries like Roberto Rossellini.
