Christian-Jaque
Christian-Jaque (1904–1994, France) was a French film director, screenwriter, and producer. He directed more than 70 films from the 1930s to the 1980s, gaining prominence for swashbuckling adventures and historical dramas such as *Fanfan la Tulipe* (1952) and *The Iron Mask* (1962). His work earned him international recognition, including the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for *The Diary of Major Thompson* (1955).
