Don Siegel

Don Siegel (1912–1991, United States) was an American film and television director and producer. He gained prominence in the 1950s with films like the sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) and the Western The Shootist (1957), before directing influential crime thrillers such as The Killers (1964) and Charley Varrick (1973). Siegel is best remembered for his collaboration with Clint Eastwood on Dirty Harry (1971), which helped define the modern action genre.
