Fernando Cerchio

Fernando Cerchio (1912–1983, Italy) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and producer. Active primarily in the mid-20th century, he directed around 25 films from the 1940s to the 1970s, specializing in adventure, historical epics, and peplum genres, with notable works including *The White Slave* (1962) and *The Lion of Thebes* (1964). His contributions helped shape the Italian sword-and-sandal film cycle during the post-war era.
