Ivan Reitman

Ivan Reitman (1946–2022, Czechoslovakia/United States) was a Canadian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s with the teen comedy Meatballs (1979) and achieved widespread success directing blockbuster comedies like Stripes (1981), Ghostbusters (1984), and Twins (1988), which collectively grossed hundreds of millions at the box office and defined the era’s humor.
