John Huston

John Huston (1906–1987, United States) was an American film director, screenwriter, and actor. He directed over 40 films, including classics such as The Maltese Falcon (1941), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), and The African Queen (1951), earning Academy Awards for directing and screenwriting the latter. Huston is regarded as a pivotal figure in Hollywood’s Golden Age, known for his adventurous storytelling, literary adaptations, and collaborations with stars like Humphrey Bogart.
