Joseph Kane

Joseph Kane (1894–1975, United States) was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing over 100 low-budget films at Republic Pictures from the 1930s to the 1950s, specializing in Westerns, serials, and action movies featuring stars like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and John Wayne. His work contributed significantly to the studio’s output of B-movies and chapterplays, including titles such as “The Lone Ranger” serial and “Dakota” (1945).
