Louis Daquin
Louis Daquin (1908–1989, France) was a French film director, screenwriter, and actor. Active from the 1930s through the 1960s, he gained recognition for socially engaged films such as *Le Point du jour* (1949) and *Bel-Ami* (1954), often reflecting humanist and leftist themes influenced by his involvement in the French Resistance and Communist Party. His work contributed to the post-war French cinema tradition, blending documentary elements with narrative storytelling.
