Luigi Capuano

Luigi Capuano (1929–2013, Italy) was an Italian film director active primarily in the 1960s and 1970s. He specialized in low-budget adventure films, including peplum (sword-and-sandal) movies such as “The Terror of the Barbarians” (1960) and “The Lion of Thebes” (1964), as well as spaghetti westerns like “Manos Up” (1968). Capuano contributed to Italy’s exploitation cinema boom, directing over 20 features that often featured historical or action themes.
