Marcel Carné

Marcel Carné (1906–1996, France) was a French film director and screenwriter renowned for his contributions to poetic realism in cinema during the 1930s and 1940s. He is best known for collaborations with writer Jacques Prévert on landmark films such as *Le Quai des brumes* (1938), *Le Jour se lève* (1939), and *Les Enfants du Paradis* (1945), which exemplify his mastery of atmospheric storytelling and visual lyricism.
