Philippe Agostini

Philippe Agostini (1910–2001, France) was a French cinematographer and film director. He is best known for his cinematography on notable films such as Jean Renoir’s The Rules of the Game (1939) and Luis Buñuel’s The Diary of a Chambermaid (1946), contributing to their visual style during the pre- and post-war eras. Agostini also directed several features in the 1940s and 1950s, including Le Secret de Monte-Cristo (1948) and The Bed (1954).
