Robert Youngson

Robert Youngson (1917–1974, United States) was an American film producer, director, and editor. He is best known for creating compilation films that preserved and revived interest in early silent-era comedies, such as the “Golden Age of Comedy” series featuring works by Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Laurel and Hardy. His innovative approach to archival filmmaking influenced documentary-style retrospectives and earned him Academy Award nominations for editing.
