Werner Herzog

Werner Herzog (1942–Present, Germany) is a German film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. He is a pivotal figure in the New German Cinema movement, known for his intense, philosophical documentaries and narrative films that explore themes of obsession, nature, and human frailty. Notable works include the features Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) and Fitzcarraldo (1982), as well as the documentary Grizzly Man (2005).
