Wim Wenders

Wim Wenders (1945–Present, Germany) is a German film director, screenwriter, author, and photographer. He rose to prominence as a leading figure in the New German Cinema movement of the 1970s and 1980s, with acclaimed works such as *Paris, Texas* (1984) and *Wings of Desire* (1987) that explore themes of alienation, memory, and human connection. Wenders has received numerous awards, including the Palme d’Or at Cannes for *Paris, Texas* and an Academy Award nomination for Best Director for *Wings of Desire*.
