The Story:
In the bustling streets of Paris, Léon Martin (Noël-Noël), a steadfast bookkeeper at a funeral parlor who scoffs at the madness of automobiles, faces a delightful dilemma when his cherished daughter Mireille falls head over heels for the dashing Paul de Grandlieu, heir to an aristocratic fortune.
To win the approval of his snooty future in-laws and dazzle them on a grand hunting expedition in Sologne, Léon embarks on a hilarious odyssey: moonlighting as a peddler of dubious hearing aids with Polish manuals, enduring the chaos of driving lessons alongside his bewildered wife Marguerite (Denise Grey), braving the bewildering Auto Show, and falling prey to sly salesmen who foist upon him a temperamental Renault 4CV.
Prepare for a riot of mechanical mishaps, traffic tangles, and social blunders on the road to romance, as Léon discovers that true happiness lies not in horsepower, but in the simple joys of the Paris Metro—don’t miss this uproarious French farce sparkling with the early charm of Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jean-Pierre Cassel!
